MY WHY.
Discovering and developing human potential isn't just my job - it's my mission. Seeing people break through barriers, step into their true power and create the life they deeply desire is what drives me every day.
I thrive when I can encourage and empower you to find your own best solutions - whether it's bridging the gap between where you are and where you want to be, or finding the clarity and courage to make a breakthrough decision that changes everything. Watching you unlock your potential, grow beyond self-imposed limitations and step into your highest self is what really excites me.
As an entrepreneur myself, I know first-hand how challenging this journey can be. For years I wrestled with the challenge of balancing success, inner peace and personal fulfilment. I understand the struggle of pushing forward in business while secretly longing for inner fulfilment, higher energy, balance and loving relationships.
That's why I have made it my mission to help you win your game of life - not by choosing between professional success and personal well-being, but by mastering both.

MY JOURNEY. YOUR SHORTCUT.

The decisive factor in choosing the Industrial Engineering and Management course was my intention to have a broad base as a generalist. I was fascinated by technology and production, but also by sales and strategic topics. I wanted to be able to combine them and the people who work in them.
My student research project at the University of Cambridge dealt with the topic of the balanced scorecard. The basic idea of the balanced scorecard, to enable a balanced view of a company's performance by integrating financial and non-financial performance indicators and establishing cause-and-effect relationships, has had a lasting impact on my entrepreneurial activities, my understanding of leadership and my idea of a balanced life.

After my studies, I started the Finance & Logistics trainee program at Unilever in Hamburg. After completing the two-year program, I worked as a project and account manager for two years. It was an exciting and instructive time in every respect. Not only did I find mentors and managers there who stayed with me long after my time at Unilever, but I also met my future wife.

From Hamburg we went to Paris. The Lipton Category was looking for someone to help develop the distribution strategy for Lipton in European discount stores and drugstores. My year as an expat at Unilever France was also eventful and instructive.
In this particular year, I was faced with a difficult decision: Do I take over my father's medium-sized company or do I embark on a corporate career? Do I become an independent entrepreneur or develop into a manager? Do I choose a life in the world's major cities or do I move to the countryside? Am I ready, am I up to the responsibility?

In 2006, I followed in the footsteps of my father, who founded Louvrette together with his brother in Kierspe in 1964. After 42 years, he handed over the management to me and the most challenging time of my life began...
And there was also a groundbreaking decision in my private life: My wonderful wife Christine and I tied the knot.

The first three years in my new role as managing partner were very challenging. Everything was new to me and the company, with 60 employees and a turnover of €7 million, was still in a difficult economic situation. I had to establish the necessary structures and processes to stabilize the company. Fortunately, I had an experienced coach at my side right from the start, who guided me and the team through the change process.
There was also a big change in my personal life - with the birth of our son Benjamin, we became a small family. But my absolute focus during this phase was on the company. I couldn't manage the balancing act between work and family...

The company's situation had stabilized, but the global economic crisis hit us hard and we had to think about how to respond. To be successful in the long term, we had to evolve. So we decided to change our business model and develop Louvrette from a pure manufacturer of cream jars to a system provider of cosmetic packaging for skincare. We developed bottles and airless dispensers and invested heavily in new injection molding tools during the crisis. I went all-in.
This situation did not help me to find a better balance between work and family. I was on the way to burnout.

In 2011, we achieved our first sales with the new products and were now also selling entire product lines to our customers. It quickly became apparent that we had made the best decision for the company during the crisis. The expansion of the portfolio was the cornerstone for the company's strong growth in the following years.

The strong growth had brought Louvrette to its capacity limits despite various expansion measures. Further growth was no longer possible on the existing site. So we took the opportunity to acquire the land and building of a company on the opposite side of the road. The site was four times the size of the previous one, but we had big plans for the future...
I also completed a two-year training and became a certified mindfulness-based systemic coach. My sole motivation for this qualification was to develop as a person and as a leader. At that time I did not know that 8 years later I would start my own coaching business…

With over 200 employees, a turnover of €30 million and an excellent reputation on the market, there were an increasing number of takeover inquiries.
Quadpack S.A., a market companion from Barcelona, was in my view the ideal partner to take Louvrette to the next level and at the same time secure the location. After two years of intensive discussions, we joined the group and became one of the ten largest manufacturers of cosmetics packaging in Europe.
I remained CEO of Louvrette, also became Managing Director of two of the Group's German subsidiaries and took over sales responsibility within the Group for the DACH region, Scandinavia, BENELUX and Eastern Europe.
Mentally and emotionally, it was a very challenging time for me. I was no longer the independent entrepreneur, and the important decisions were now made by others. But I was highly motivated to find my new identity and role in the new environment.

After three and a half intensive and instructive years - including Covid - my time as part of the Quadpack Group came to an end. It was better for both sides to end the collaboration.
Once again, I was very mentally and emotionally challenged. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions, but deep down I knew that the time was right to start a new chapter in my life.

After climbing my first mountain with a challenging, up and down but fulfilling 16-year journey as an entrepreneur and CEO, achieving professional success and personal growth, I was ready to climb my second mountain.
This journey is focused on helping entrepreneurs and leaders - my former self - find their respective paths to success and personal as well as professional fulfillment while continuing my own journey to become the best version of myself.
So I used 2023 primarily to develop my concept, deepen my coaching knowledge in the areas of mindset and lifestyle and to give back to my family.

At the beginning of 2024, the time had come - I founded Fabian Erlhöfer coaching & consulting and have been working as an executive life coach, mentor and consultant with entrepreneurs and business leaders on their individual challenges and goals ever since.
The circle has closed.
